Join the Houston Area Professional Express Network on Thursday, January 19, 2023, for a networking luncheon and a presentation by Liz Lana-Carreño of National Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, “Create Something Great Today”.

In this talk, attendees will allow participants to identify the life and business timelines and how they intersect when setting goals in 2023.

This month’s HAPEN meeting begins with registration and networking at 11:00 a.m., followed by a prompt 11:30 a.m. start of the program. Luncheons are held at the Holiday Inn & Suites Houston West – Westway Park.

About Liz Lana-Carreño

Liz is Outreach Director and National Faculty member of National Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses. The program focuses on stimulating Small Business Growth thru practical business education, access to funding, resources and network of advisors.

Liz has built a robust network of relationships with the business ecosystems in the Greater Houston area and national market. These strategic partnerships support small business owners in growth, solutions and sustainability. Her role has provided opportunities to work with over 1000 businesses across the nation in diverse industries. Using her business experience and education she has facilitated MODS in Leadership, Performance Management, Building Teams, Operations, Negotiations and Communications.

Liz participated In Houston’s Super Bowl LI “Play Book for Success”, preparing small businesses for potential contracts and initiatives in business development. She is the former Executive Director of K9s4COPs a 501 (c)(3) non-profit and largest provider of K9’s to Law Enforcement Agencies. Prior to becoming Executive Director, her firm LLC-Strategies, was hired to launch the non-profit from concept to establish the foundation’s infrastructure, brand identity, guidelines to work with kennels and law enforcement agencies across the nation. K9S4COPs was recognized for its work at the 2014 National Tournament of Rose Parade. Liz is the owner of LLC- Strategies, a business consultancy firm with expertise in growth strategies, performance management, and brand identity for small businesses and non-profits.

Prior to launching her firm in 2010, Liz worked with her late husband owner of Carreño group Public Relations firm specializing in public affairs, political strategist, and Hispanic marketing, Liz gained much of her expertise from her 21year global career with Continental Airlines. She served in numerous leadership roles in operations, training, customer experience, development, Emergency Response and corporate initiatives across the globe. Liz serves on the board of several non-profits, community and business organizations.
