Location: LEIF Home & Woman 319 Graham Avenue, East Williamsburg, Brooklyn

This job listing is for this location specifically! We're seeking someone with a passion for clothing/fashion (with personal style aligned with our selection) and proven sales experience and skills.

Schedule: 5 days (35-40 hours) a week, FULL WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED

Compensation: $19.00-$21/hr starting wage, plus employer-subsidized health, vision & dental, two weeks paid time off, and a 30% employee discount.

We are looking for someone with prior retail experience (preferably in a boutique or fashion setting), strong sales skills and an outgoing, energetic, upbeat presence with outstanding people skills. You will demonstrate a positive attitude and exceptional product knowledge while embodying our laidback but professional, authentic and engaged style of customer service.

Responsibilities include:

1. Being an all-star salesperson and conveying a natural ease and authenticity while engaging with customers.
2. Demonstrate an authentically friendly yet elevated level of sales and service through communication, product knowledge, body language & morale.
3. Maintain the welcoming, inviting feel of our brand by greeting and thanking every customer.
4. Conduct sales transactions on POS, accurately ringing up items and packing with care and attention.
5. Receiving new inventory and managing existing inventory.
6. Providing and assisting with customer service as needed via in-person interactions, phone and email, while offering expert product knowledge.
7. Monitoring e-comm sales, carefully packing items and shipping out online orders.
8. Shop upkeep, visual merchandising, organizing stock in back of house.
9. Maintaining the storefront (cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, etc).
10. Working closely with owner and the rest of the team to streamline the business and grow sales.

This is a role that requires a genuine love of retail, people and customer service and supporting the needs of the shop and our team as they arise.

Requirements:

1. Full weekend availability.
2. Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and attention to detail.
3. Prior retail experience (applications with no prior retail experience will not be considered).
4. Extremely reliable and high accountability.
5. An outgoing, warm, vibrant and engaging personality with an authentic, natural ease with people.
6. Self starter who takes initiative.
7. Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
8. Organized, efficient and aesthetically/visually inclined (gift wrapping, merchandising).
