Cinemark Janitors clean the theatre and theatre property during non-operating hours. The standard at Cinemark is “clean as new”, and Janitors strive to always meet this standard. They are responsible for cleaning floors, carpets, walls, doors, seats, restrooms, sidewalks, parking lots, concession stands, etc. Janitors thoroughly disinfect auditoriums and restrooms prior to opening. This individual ensures that the next day’s Guests will walk into a sparkling clean theatre. Responsibilities include coordinating with the General Manager on areas to be cleaned, scheduling time to perform thorough cleaning, sweeping and mopping floor areas including auditoriums, lobby, restrooms, booth area, maintaining carpets, cleaning theatre and theatre property including auditoriums, seats, game rooms, drinking fountains, restrooms, ensuring projection booths, office areas, storerooms, and screens are cleaned only at the specific instruction of the General Manager, keeping cleaning equipment clean and in good working order, cleaning and organizing the Janitor’s closet, inspecting theatre and theatre property to ensure cleanliness and good working order, replenishing restroom supplies, mixing and applying Cinemark-approved cleaning chemicals, removing trash and disposing of it properly, guarding against unauthorized personnel during shifts, keeping theatre keys on person and outside doors locked during non-operating hours, properly utilizing Personal Protective Equipment, adapting to frequency and scope of cleaning tasks, monitoring safety and security issues and reporting them, and performing other work-related duties as assigned. Requirements include being at least 18 years old, availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, regular and consistent attendance, energetic and friendly attitude, excellent guest service, good interpersonal and communication skills in English, ability to work in a team and independently, ability to take and follow direction, sense of urgency, ability to maneuver in limited-space areas, ability to safely mix and dispose of chemicals, and physical ability to frequently bend, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and reach around the theater.
