What You'll Do

  • Design & Build: Develop secure, scalable microservices and front-end features using Node.js, React, and GraphQL.
  • Frameworks & Architecture: Define frameworks and patterns that ensure codebase maintainability, testability, and rapid iteration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and QA to translate customer needs into technical solutions, from spec through deployment.
  • Ownership & Mentorship: Lead complex projects, guide junior engineers, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Performance & Reliability: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimize queries, and ensure 99.9% uptime across AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale, high-availability systems
  • Strong proficiency in our core stack: TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL (Apollo), and SQL (MySQL)
  • AWS expertise: Hands-on production experience with EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation/CloudWatch
  • API Design: Proven track record designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs; third-party integrations
  • Quality & Testing: Skilled with Jest/Mocha, CI/CD pipelines, and automated end-to-end tests
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to work closely across disciplines

Nice to Haves

  • Banking or fintech industry experience
  • Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Security best practices and compliance (SSAE, SOC2)
  • Experience with payment rails (ACH, SWIFT, ISO 20022)
  • Front-end testing frameworks (Playwright)

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Impact & Ownership: Your work powers real-world cross-border payments used by hundreds of banks and thousands of customers.
  • Growth & Autonomy: Thrive in a collaborative, startup environment where your ideas shape our roadmap and culture.
  • Culture of Simplicity: Join a team that values transparency, streamlined processes, and a focus on outcomes over bureaucracy.
